Job Overview
Overseas Cricket League (OCL) is seeking qualified, professional, and unbiased Cricket Umpires to officiate league matches and ensure the highest standards of fair play. The selected candidates will be responsible for conducting matches strictly in accordance with official cricket laws and maintaining discipline, integrity, and professionalism throughout the tournament.
This role requires strong decision-making ability, deep knowledge of cricket regulations, and the confidence to manage high-pressure match situations.
Key Responsibilities
• Officiate OCL league matches in compliance with MCC Laws of Cricket and applicable BCCI regulations
• Make accurate, consistent, and impartial on-field decisions
• Maintain match discipline and ensure adherence to the spirit of the game
• Monitor player conduct and report any breaches of code of conduct
• Coordinate effectively with scorers, match referees, third officials (if applicable), and tournament management
• Conduct pre-match inspections of pitch, playing area, and equipment
• Manage match flow, over rates, and time regulations
• Submit detailed match reports and incident reports post-match
• Ensure smooth and professional conduct of every fixture
Requirements
• Certified Cricket Umpire (BCCI or State Association certification preferred)
• Strong and updated knowledge of MCC Laws of Cricket and domestic playing conditions
• Proven ability to make confident decisions under pressure
• Excellent match awareness and situational judgment
• Professional, neutral, and unbiased attitude
• Strong communication and on-field management skills
• Physical fitness to officiate full-length T20 matches
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience officiating T20 tournaments or league-level competitions
• Experience handling televised or competitive cricket matches
• Strong match control and player management skills
• Ability to maintain authority while promoting sportsmanship
